Not even three weeks to go and the baby is on the right path – downwards or engaging if you prefer.
I was convinced that I was going to go into labour last weekend. We went down to Craig’s parents’ beach house for a couple of nights. Baby was extremely restless all day and I had cramps off and on. In the evening the tummy had totally changed shape, looked like an arrow downwards. Craig was convinced he could see a bump above my pubic bone and that it was the baby’s head.
I couldn’t sleep that night, partly being excited and partly terrified that my water would break in my mother in law’s bed with extremely nice and expensive sheets. I couldn’t imagine anything more embarrassing. I put my pyjamas on (it usually doesn’t get much use) just to break the fall of most water.....I know it wouldn’t help a lot but at least I tried.
Well baby didn’t come and I guess it is stuck now.
I received the TENS machine (Transcutaneous Electrical Nerve Stimulation ) last week so I am all set for labour....NOT.
I had terrible pains in the car on the way home from the beach house and thought it would be good to use the breathing techniques. The conclusion: I really need to practice the technique. I was terrible at doing them, all over the place one can say.
I have also got the bassinette and am going to get a new mattress tomorrow....so all is ready.
Where is the baby?
Welcome to MamaBlog with Stial
This blog simply is about being a mother and the remarkable journey it is in life.
I am sure it will have its peaks and troughs and this blog is to share and hopefully get some real life advice.
