Tips from friends / family & various literatures

As you know being pregnant and I am sure having a child means that you get advice about everything and anything from a lot people. Most advice or should I call a lot of it opinions you need to let go in one ear and out the other. Otherwise you would a) get overwhelmed by the amount b) confused because many are contradicting and c) stressed out because it is too much and most advice probably don’t suit you or your child.

I have learnt that I just need to be a bit relaxed, say yes and ignore. But there are some advice which I really like and have taken too heart (right or wrong it is a matter of opinion).

Here is a list of advice / tips that I like so far:

(I am sure it will grow over time)

1. When taking care of your baby, if it feels right in your heart it probably is
2. If you are relaxed your baby most likely will be too (my husband reminds me all the time)
3. Have your baby on its tummy for about an hour a day is a good way for it to practice its neck
4. Family want to meet the baby first day and it is important

5. Red raspberry leave tea or tablets - tones the uterus for a 'easier' and less painful labour and assist in production of breast milk (link to more info)

To be continued....

There are of course plenty other things which you should/shouldn’t do but these are just a few things which I took to heart I guess.

If you have any good tips you think should be on this list please let me know.

Until later

Stina
