6 months mile stones

Isabelle is now 6 months and is doing quite well. She is changing all the time and discovering new things.

Her latest thing is crawling. It is a mix between the army crawl and a normal baby crawl. Craig and I think it looks like the electric worm. She loves it and I think it is extremely cute. But the only one that is a looser in this is Louis because he is usually her target. She loves touching his paws and preferably sucking them a bit too.

However there is a perk for him. She tend to leave the carrots or bread sticks I give her to snack on and as soon as she is off he looks where I am and quickly grab it before leaving the room....and he thinks I haven’t seen it.

Other developments are 360 degrees circles, the intense ability to turn an object and inspect every single thing. She wonders where sounds are coming from such as the phone, radio and TV. Her face looks like a big question mark when you turn the radio on. She looks and her dad and I to see if we are talking and then she reach for where the noise is coming from.

This morning Craig was talking in the shower. She knew it was dad but couldn’t see him. She crawled like a snake in my arms to look around the corner so she could see where the sound came from. Very cute.

When I play titt-ut (peek-a-boo) with her she tries to look around the hands, blanket or corner, whatever I’m using.

She speak alot, dadadada, mamamamama, bababababa and much more which I can’t spell.

Hard things have been that she is way too busy to eat, sit still or cuddle. She wants to wiggle, crawl or tell stories all the time. And if she can’t she can get VERY angry.

She doesn’t particularly sleep during the day and we have given up on the cot during the day. We can get her to sleep a bit in the pram. Nights have been fantastic up till the last few days where we now have screaming sessions before we can calm down to eat or even contemplate sleeping. Mum and dad has been totally clue less and on the border of desperate.

However, we are now suspecting it can be the new formula I am giving her (from 6 month formula) and I am now going back to the newborn formula to see if it makes any difference. (she took the bottle good for the first time on a few days this morning so we might be in to a winner)

Solids have been fun, sticky and a lot of extra work for mum. But isn’t she cute eating her beetroot.

She tries to kiss but it is with a very open and sloppy month. She is adorable!!!

She looks more and more like dad every day and putting on some extra baby weight. I have switch to full formula...breast feeding including all the pumping and planning was too hard in the end and happy mum happy baby I say!
