Labour was very intense to say the least but as everyone says; when you see the baby it is all worth it. For me the TENS machine was a god send, gas did nothing and pethidine was great but came way too late.
People ask what does it feel like- well try to break your pelvic bone and that is almost how it felt for me anyway. Not a hit I must say, but a necessary evil I guess.
Since Isabelle arrived we have had a busy couple of weeks learning to be parents. There has been a lot of feeds, nappies, poos, wees, not as much sleep as we wish and lots of baby cuddles. (speaking of poos she just had a poo in her dady’s arms)
It is all a bit strange and I can’t say I feel like a mum just yet. Maybe that takes a year or two.
Well, just wanted to say hi and that i am back. Now i have got to go and give the 20th feed of the day.
I’ll be back soon
