Did anyone see last night’s episode of Grey’s Anatomy (do you spell it like that? Or is that the name for that matter?....my first episode last night and I am hooked)
Anyway, there was this scene about when to have children and why.
There were two doctors, doctor 1 and doctor 2. One has a child and I guess the other thinking about having a baby. Doctor 2 asked Doctor 1 when it is best to have a child. Doctor 1 said never. She said they cry all the time, make you sleep deprived, take all your time, you never can do anything for yourself again, they are terrible at conversations etc. But this morning I woke up by my sun having his cold button nose against mine and said “mum wake up”. I was overwhelmed by love and pride because it was the first time he was able to pronounce ‘k’, .....so there are never a good time but if you are waiting for the right time you’ll never have a child.
This made me cry (I know I am a hormonal mum). But she is right, that is why it is lovely to have a child. Yes there are countless of hard not so nice moments but the small little things makes your heart ache of love and pride.
For me I love seeing Isabelle sit down at the mini table on her mini chair and eat her mini cheese or mini toast just like the other children at child care. I can see her amazement when studding the other toddlers. Or I can’t help being out of this world proud when she is having a serious conversation with me or her little giraffe or when she starts bumping her bottom up and down when I put the radio on, when she tries to walk along the pram on our walks (I am sure this will become very annoying soon) or just waves when we leave childcare. These things are none important little things for anyone else but not for a mum. They mean the world.
Issy is at child care today and I am missing her....maybe that the reason I’m getting so emotional...
Ok, need to get the house work now.
