I have had a couple of tough days with Isabelle. It has been quite warm and I think she has been struggling a bit with it. She is off her food and sleeping during the day has totally gone out the window. The pram is like a sauna and the cot has never been a hit during the day.
I try not to get stressed with her not sleeping but after a couple hours of trying to get her to bed (or rather the pram) because she is so tired I am at the breaking point.
I know I should just let it go and not get stressed but I guess it isn’t my strongest side.
She has also been vometing a bit from the heat and is quite red. It has been very hard to control the heat when she goes to bed as it is 30 degrees when I prepare her for bed and when the air con been on about 22, but when it goes colder outside the room becomes very cold too....imposible I say.
However, today has been better even though she has just had 1.5h sleep in 4 different occasions, 30 mins, 20 mins, 10 mins and 30 mins (mostly in the car). We have made an agreement that as of this week we are just going to spend time together and not do chores while she is awake. And when she sleeps mummy is going to try to rest.....at least we are trying to do that.
She is also very clingy at the moment. I think it is the separation stage she is in...at least I hope it is. Otherwise we are going to have some sad tears when we go out in the future.
Anyways we have been swimming in the pool today and she loved it...me too. She kicks her legs a million miles an hour. She giggles but most of the time absolutely stunned. The only one that didn’t like it was Louis when he accidently did a head plunge in the pool.
A friend of mine took a beautiful pic of Izzy in the pool, just waiting for it and will post it as soon as I get it.
Have fun!
